Hi there, how are you doing ? Welcome to this website ! You understood it, my name is Nicolas Balthazar. I'm a young and dynamic executive who loves to live as an epicurean. I try to enjoy and to take the most pleasure possible in every single moment. I'm open-minded, convivial, always listening and smiling. I have plenty of hobbies, the most important ones, travel, technologies and music, got their dedicated category on this website. I also like sports, movies, gastronomy, French wines, nature, animals, children, writing, talking, going out, parties and so forth.

I'm a lucky and happy man, because since ages I use to do what I like to do, my job is first of all one of my interests, so yeah, I'm having a lot of pleasure while working. I felt into the world of information and communication technologies (so-called ICT) when I was a teenager, and I made the choice to turn that interest into business. At school times, I used a lot of my free time to develop websites either for small companies and also for my personal enjoyment. Self-taught person, I did not go to the university, I decided to join the world of business directly. I started by working 3 years as ICT Manager for a NGO which works for nature, and then 1 year as Project Manager for a web agency. Now, I'm the Web Coordinator of Karakas, an idea-led communications company working across web and print. My role is to oversee the web team and to coordinate web projects. The ICT part of this website will be the continuance of my job. You'll find information about the web and computers actuality, buzzes, e-marketing, the last projects I've worked on which are really interesting by the technologies used, and so on. With humour, you'll also find useless (and so useful !) stuff. I'll try to feed this website as much as I can, but don't blame me if there are delays without new content, it's not that easy to find the time needed for it between professional and private life ! :-)

What would be life without dilemmas ? My biggest one is the following. I like to travel. Um, no, I love to travel. Oh, well, I'd like to travel all around our beautiful world ! We've got a short life, so we need to choose priorities. My goal is to be able to travel where I want, when I want. That's the dilemma. To do that I need time and means. Actually, I'd like to be travelling all the time. I'd like to have no home, or just one... called Earth. I want to explore all this world of wonders and experience all the cultures. I started to do so, you can see all the places I've been in the World trip part of this website. I'll try and put the pictures of all my trips around the world and update the world map as much as I can.

Music gives a soul to our heart and wings to thought. That's why I can't live one single day without listening (or singing to, dancing on) music. I'm especially addicted to rock music. My favourite artist is The Cure, you know, that new wave band that revolutionized music in the 80's. The Music part of this website will talk about the music I like, and will talk a lot about The Cure, their actuality and all the concerts they're still playing and where I try to be every time. Because they don't make twice the same, and every gig fills me with all the types of emotions you can ever imagine.
